Hello (Matthew)

Ninette was walking around in the gardens doing nothing. She brought a book out so she could read while she was there all alone. Ninette was the type of girl who liked to stay to herself from time to time and mind her own business instead of putting herself in someone else's business. Ninette was too absorbed in her book that she didn't hear someone else coming.

Matt was on a lunch break so he decided he'd go out to the garden and spend some time outside since it was a nice warm afternoon. He had himself a sandwich which he had gotten from the dining hall along with a bottle of water. He walked around fora while before he saw a young student sitting alone, matthew himself did not like being alone so he walked over to her and cleared his throat politely.

" Excuse me miss, i hope you don't mind if i sit with you for a bit? I hate sitting alone and could really use the company but it seems that you already have enough company." He said politely as he nodded his head to the book in her hands.

Ninette was reading her book when she heard a voice and looked up. Ninette saw one of the Professors standing there with a sandwich in his hands along with a bottle of water. Ninette didn't mind one bit if he sat there to keep her company. She placed the bookmarker in her book to keep the page that she was on to read later. "Of course, have a seat" she gestured to the seat next to her and waited for him to take a seat.

Matt nodded and he sat down next to her. " Thank you. I promise I'll try not to disturb you while you read." He said as he sipped his water. " I'm Matthew by the way, but you can call me Matt." He said as he extended his hand to the young girl. " What are you reading?" He asked her curiously before he realized he was already disturbing her while she was reading. " I'm sorry, I don't mean to disturb you, I'll just be quiet now." He laughed as he took a bite of his peanut butter sandwich.

Ninette didn't mind that he was there with her, she also didn't care if he disturbed her. She can always read another time or in her room like she usually does. "Its okay, don't worry about disturbing me or anything of the sort like that" Ninette replied. "Nice to meet you Matt, I'm Ninette" she shook his hand when he held it out for her to shake. "I'm reading this mystery novel I found in the school library. It sounded pretty good so I took it to read it" she answered him. When he apologized for disturbing her, she shook her head. "No its okay, I actually don't mind the company" she put the book marker to save her page and turned to him. "So what brought you out here?"

Matt nodded, she seemed like a pretty nice young lady. " It's a pleasure to meet you, Ninette." He said as he leaned forward and kissed the back of her hand like a gentleman would. When she said she had taken a book from the library he chuckled. " Be sure to return it in one piece otherwise Cassie may have your head on a stick." He joked with a laugh, Cassie loved those books as thought they were her own children.

" Alright. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't disturbing you in any way." He said, when she asked what he had he shrugged. " Just some lunch is what brought me out here, I have two peanut butter sandwiches if you want one?" He asked, he usually ate two sandwiches so he had an extra one in his brown paper sack that he carried his lunch in. " What about you? What brought you out here?"

When he kissed her hand, Ninette couldn't help but blush about it. Matthew seemed like he was a nice and amazing guy in her eyes but she hasn't had the best luck with men all because of her father. "Oh I know, she practically killed me when I was a day late returning the one book I borrowed because I wasn't finished reading the book yet. Nine knew how Cassie was and couldn't help but feel a little afraid if she does anything to the book she has now.

"No thank you, I'm peanuts" she answered. "And I am out here because its too hectic in my common room."

Matt noticed she blushed and chuckled inwardly, every girl seemed to do that when he kissed the back of their hand. He wondered why, maybe because a lot of guys didn't do it? He didn't know nor did he really care. He chuckled. " Yes those books might as well be Cassie's children. Always return them on time or she comes after you with a hunting party." He laughed a bit. Knowing how volatile Cassandra could be when you kept her books longer than she told you.

When she told Matt she was allergic to peanuts he blinked. " Oh I'm sorry. I had no idea." He said as he moved a bit away from her. " I used to know a girl that was deathly allergic to peanuts. If she even smelled them she would have a reaction, that's why I moved a bit." He told her. " You're a junior right? So I guess David Conrad is having a party if you say it's to hectic." He added with a laugh.

Ninette couldn't help but laugh a little bit, Matthew was funny and totally right about what he said about the librarian going on a hunting party looking for her books back. "That's so true, she sometimes frightens me when she does something like that. I know a fellow Junior had that happen before" Ninette explained.

"No its alright, you didn't know" she shook off his apology. "Yes it is him."

Matt chuckled a bit. " More than likely David Conrad, he is always doing something to piss people off." He said with a shrug as he sipped his water, he learned to ignore David and all the stupid stuff he did. He just liked to show off for the girls, more Thana Semele than any of them. " Cassie's bark is bigger than her bite trust me, she is harmless unless you piss her off, than you run away. When she is annoyed she can be deadly too, but less so." He shrugged again.

Matt nodded and he ate a bit more of his sandwich and realized that wasn't what he was wanting. He put it back in the bag and shook his head. " Of course he is. I swear that boy gets into more trouble than anyone i've ever met." He said. " So what's your favorite subject?" He asked curiously.

Ninette couldn't help but smirk at what he said, she knew who David was and felt bad for people who came into contact with him. "I know, I saw her in action before and it was kind of scary, that's why I try hard to be by myself, its easier then getting into gossip and all that" Ninette replied, she didn't like lies or rumors so she chose to be alone.

"I like all the subjects really, if that makes sense" Ninette answered.
